You truly are of the "one flesh". Like trying to separate two sheets of paper that have been glued together, you just can't do it.<br /><br /> IIRC, there is also a passage where it is advised that you do not remarry a person once divorced from them.<br /><br />A marriage where the trust is broken by unfaithfulness is like a beautiful vase that has been broken in several pieces. You can try your best to mend it by carefully gluing the pieces back together, but it is just not going to be the same vase. It will always look cracked, and may even leak slightly.
