All in the Family featured the curmudgeonly Archie Bunker. Archie was television’s most famous grouch, blunt, blustering, straightforward and untouched by the PC crowd. He was the archetype of the conservative male. Michael desprately tried to reeducate him, but he persisted in his breviloquence.

Looking back at the last 40 years, we realize: ARCHIE WAS RIGHT!

Keeping Up

Keeping up is hard to do.  It's hard to believe that January is almost over.  It seems like almost every day there is something to blog about.  Everyday something gets in the way of doing it.

I've let the BJW and GFF queues run dry.  I'll get a couple of months worth of posts lined up in those first.  Then I owe a cooking post, which I'll try to get written.  After that I'll do my best to fire off enough posts to equal a one a weekday average, which is what I shoot for normally.

I've got stuff that I could write about, but I've never wanted to be a mommy blogger, which is mostly what my life is about right now.  There is nothing wrong with that, in fact I'm enjoying my wife and kids and growing spiritually.  I just can't imagine anyone wanting to sift through my latest diet and exercise goals or other daily drivel.

Anyway, more posts are coming.

  1. You are right in a way, to think that most people don't want to go through the navel gazing. But there are times when once in a while, you cover something that the guys here can relate to, and sometimes it is nice to know you are not alone Res.

I know a lot of your stuff is guy related, but growing up as a tomboy with three brothers, and being the only girl in the neighborhood dealing with a dozen other boys, I find your posts enjoyable reading.

Maybe you should post your best pancake recipe and then some photos.

I'm only partially joking... I'm sure your pancakes are great.
