All in the Family featured the curmudgeonly Archie Bunker. Archie was television’s most famous grouch, blunt, blustering, straightforward and untouched by the PC crowd. He was the archetype of the conservative male. Michael desprately tried to reeducate him, but he persisted in his breviloquence.

Looking back at the last 40 years, we realize: ARCHIE WAS RIGHT!

Update

I went in for more blood work yesterday. I should have results tomorrow or the next day. I have a x-ray and CAT scan scheduled for next Wednesday morning.

I'm having symptoms that something is wrong. I tend to get dizzy for no reason and am having problems being sleepy and disorientated. I've also started having problems recalling words that are common for me to use when speaking, as well as "stalling out" (forgetting the rest of a sentence when speaking). I tend to get a feeling of being lightheaded from time to time as well. Occasionally I get the "spins", and no I haven't been drinking. I'm having headaches and pain behind my right eye, both of theses things come and go during the day. I'm also more forgetful than normal.

I'm still going to work and so far I haven't had a problem driving, perhaps that is because I'm sitting down. At this point I have nothing medical to report.

  1. None of that sounds good, Res. But, you took a very hard hit on the head. These could all be symptoms from that head injury and have nothing to do with the reason you passed out in the first place.

I did a little reading up on fainting here. There are all kinds of causes for it, and in about a third of the cases the cause is unknown, idiopathic.

I pray these symptoms are very temporary and nothing more than your head recuperating from its injury.

Have you been hanging out with Teddy Kennedy again?

  4. I think you're just old ;)

Seriously though, I'm glad you are having all of the tests, I'm sure this is very worrying for you and the Mrs. Take care of yourself.

You are just racist. You will be fine once we get a white man as President again.

Or you will be fine because your government health plan will tell you there is nothing wrong and send you home. (that is always a bad sign).

Res, it very well could be delayed reaction to the nasty crack on the head you took. However, I would seriously suggest a heart monitor for a week. My FIL was having some of the same symptoms as you so they fitted him with one. Found out he needed a pacemaker. The fainting stuff can happen at the most dangerous moments like stairs, etc. Let them check that Res. You have a precious family that needs you.

I'll be praying for you, Res. Meditate on these promises from God:

    1) "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." Hebrews 13:5

    2) "But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength 2 Timothy 4:17

    3) "But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" 2 Peter 3:18

  8. I hope they figure it out soon! I'm sure the anxiety about not knowing what the problem is doesn't help either.

    Get well soon!

In the mean time, just because you're a bit dizzy, incoherent and cannot complete sentences don't go thinking you have to register as a Democrat now though it might start seeming to make sense. Trust me. You'll get over it!
