All in the Family featured the curmudgeonly Archie Bunker. Archie was television’s most famous grouch, blunt, blustering, straightforward and untouched by the PC crowd. He was the archetype of the conservative male. Michael desprately tried to reeducate him, but he persisted in his breviloquence.

Looking back at the last 40 years, we realize: ARCHIE WAS RIGHT!

Blogger Issues

Blogger is being kind today.  The last couple of times I've tried to post it has refused to let me in the system.

All is well here in Wyoming.  My oldest has had a birthday and the in laws have come to visit for a couple of weeks.  As soon as they are gone posting will return to a more normal schedule.  There are BJW jokes in the queue through the end of November so never fear Wednesday is covered.

Glad to hear that all is well. Congrats to Res Jr, also. As clichéd as it is, they do grow up fast.

Didn't get to do any rafting this summer, but did get in a lot of camping, boating, and jet-skiing. The Canada trip is off until May-June, so start planning for it now if you're interested in going.

I really miss the rafting and coming down to see ya'll. It's been years since I made a fishing trip to Canada and I would like nothing better than to join you. DO you have any idea on what the lodging/fishing portion of the trip would cost?

Whatever it costs for a non-citizen license up there, plus food, gas, and fishing supplies. Lodging is unknown, but might be free if it's a promotional deal (this is the cabin that my friend is looking to go in and buy together). And we always have my RV to stay in for the cost of a campsite each night if the cabin is too high.

  4. I'd love to do it. I just don't know how feasible it is for me right now.

No worries, mate. We've got time to hash out the details.

Took him fishing on my boat at the reservoir down in Pueblo...didn't know they had walleye there. You're always welcome down here, too...we got a slip through the end of September, if you can swing a weekend or another couple of days before then.

  6. Thanks for the invite.

Right now I don't have a weekend. I work Sun- Fri on the night shift.
