All in the Family featured the curmudgeonly Archie Bunker. Archie was television’s most famous grouch, blunt, blustering, straightforward and untouched by the PC crowd. He was the archetype of the conservative male. Michael desprately tried to reeducate him, but he persisted in his breviloquence.

Looking back at the last 40 years, we realize: ARCHIE WAS RIGHT!

Those of us who pay attention realized this Res. I hope you are all having a fantastic time. Your kids are very lucky indeed, though they won't appreciate it fully until they are much older.

I expect you will have lots of interesting tales to regale us with too. Looking forward to it.

Oh sorry to hear that. No fun getting that in any situation. Just pace yourself at work, then collapse when you get home. You earned it.

  4. I got my first ever antelope tag this year. Hopefully you find the time to get out and kill something. It's getting to be about that time.

  5. Thank you for the well wishes everyone.

I'm back to being not as sick which is wonderful compared to Saturday night.

Giraffe, congrats on the tag! What unit did you get and when are the dates? I finally drew a moose tag and I'm sending all my hunting time on that this year.

  6. I've got Pennington County east of the Cheyenne. It's an area I'm familiar with even if it isn't top antelope country. My brother lives in Rapid so he will likely have one with my name written on it by the time season opens. Oct 9, is the opener so I'm planning on that weekend.

Antelope were just something we never really pursued licenses for. We don't have many on this side of the state, and we used our time for deer. But since they cut the tag numbers way down so you can only draw every other year at best, it seemed like a good thing to try.

We didn't draw black hills tags but we are still going bowhunting out there over Thanksgiving as usual.

  8. I've always enjoyed antelope hunting. I go out and shoot one. It's not a hard hunt when using a rifle. Bow hunting them requires a good deal more hunting and stalking skill. Any buck 13 inches or better is a good buck. Good luck!
