I though it was high time we enjoyed some potty humor.
Scientists study violent winds of Uranus

If petroleum hydrocarbons are produced by dead dinosaurs why do we have so many gaseous planets?
The dinosaur thing is a myth; oil is said to come from prehistoric algae and stuff. But it has been shown that oil can also be found where the biotic origin theory doesn't work.
ReplyDeleteI believe we will eventually find that oil has both biotic and abiotic origins, and that there will be recoverable oil deposits on Mars. There's probably oil on Venus too, but we can't get to it. Hydrocarbons are found all over the solar system, so why would
Earth's be any different?
ReplyDeleteRecently read something about "microfossils" that are found in oil, though, so that's why I think both theories have evidence supporting them.
ReplyDeleteInteresting I lean towards abiotic. I know that biotic can and does create hydrocarbon but I think that most of it is created from abiotic sources.
