When a gang broke into their home, the father started yelling,
“Go to the bedroom and get the gun,”.
The mother and son did as his father instructed. They ran to the bedroom to grab the gun, which was stored under the bed. One of the men was chasing the mother and grabbing at her while yelling, “I’m not going to hurt you. Lay down!” The mother and the intruder made it to the bedroom, but the son was already there with the gun in hand. He fired several shots, and the suspect collapsed and died right there beside the bed on the carpet.
Job Well Done.
Yet another example why having a gun in the home, and having it accessible to everyone, is a good idea.
"and having it accessible to everyone"
ReplyDelete*ahem*
Obviously, you mean "everyone old enough to understand its lethality and trained to use it properly", yes?
The "son" in the article is a 21-year-old man. I have a young grandson wandering the house now. Keeping a loaded gun underneath the bed is not a good idea, lest I end up like this man.
Oh, and Job Well Done, to the son. That's what it's for.

ReplyDeleteI can't help but wonder if it wasn't job well done in that case too.
HA, yes! Good one.
ReplyDeleteI had read somewhere that the father didn't die. And there's a question of whether the video is real or faked.
Assuming the video is legit, who would give a real gun to a kid to play with, anyway?

ReplyDeleteYes. My thought was about the new requirements that some locations are wanting to enforce, with the guns being taken apart stored with locks, etc. A gun you cant get to and use isn't worth much.
I wouldn't want to leave a loaded gun where a little kid could play with it.
