All in the Family featured the curmudgeonly Archie Bunker. Archie was television’s most famous grouch, blunt, blustering, straightforward and untouched by the PC crowd. He was the archetype of the conservative male. Michael desprately tried to reeducate him, but he persisted in his breviloquence.

Looking back at the last 40 years, we realize: ARCHIE WAS RIGHT!

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving my friends.

May we all look back and remember all the things we have been blessed with this last year.

One thing I'm thankful for is my readers who stop in each day.  I consider you friends and I am grateful for each of you.  My God bless you all in 2015.

May your entire meal turn out delicious and your fridge blessed with lots of left-overs.

Have an enjoyable day Res with whomever graces your table.

  3. It's going to be just our immediate family this year.

Last year we all went to my sisters house. We decided to get together this year in September as a family instead of now so that everyone could get together with their inlaws. That way we still had a "holiday" together and this part of the year is a little less stressful.

Happy Thanksgiving to all, and all the best to you and yours Res. I appreciate that you run an interesting blog where we can discuss matters of import or not.

Sometimes you need to take that break from relatives Res and concentrate on the immediate family.

My favorite leftover meal to use leftovers. Don't know why, but this is just one of the best ways to use leftovers, and makes an extremely easy meal to whip up after the big day, or even to take to a potluck at your church. My kids love this dish.

Add approx 4cups of cut up turkey to the bottom of a medium sized casserole dish that has been either sprayed or greased.

Then add left over gravy, approx 2 cups. You just want the turkey well coated and a little "saucy". Not flirty, just saucy enough to keep the turkey moist. You can pass extra hot gravy when serving.

Then you add a layer of leftover stuffing to the top of this to cover.

For crispy stuffing, leave uncovered. For softer stuffing, cover with foil.

Then put into a 350 degree oven for about 35-45 minutes until nice and hot.

I have used a 9x13, an 8"square, or adjusted the amounts and used a 15"rectangular.
