STEPHENVILLE, Texas (AP) - A 25-year-old Iraq war veteran charged with murdering former Navy SEAL and "American Sniper" author Chris Kyle and his friend turned a gun onto the pair while they were at a Texas shooting range, authorities said Sunday.
Eddie Ray Routh of Lancaster was arraigned early Sunday in the deaths of Kyle, 38, and Chad Littlefield, 35, at a shooting range at Rough Creek Lodge, about 50 miles southwest of Fort Worth. He was being held on one charge of capital murder and two charges of murder.Assuming this hit isn't some sort of false flag opportation, it will be interesting to see how this plays out. Murder generally has a motive. In this case a Marine corpal took out a Navy SEAL sniper. What could the motive be? The SEAL had a bounty on his head at one time, was this a collection attempt? Did the two men have words at some point? Did Eddie Ray Routh simply flip his lid?
It will be intersting to see what the motive was, assuming of course that SEAL Team 3 allows Eddie Ray Routh to live.
From what I read, Routh was suffering from PTSD and Kyle was working with him to get through it.
ReplyDeleteI question the wisdom of using guns to resolve issues with PTSD, if that is indeed what they were doing at the range. But we'll likely never know the truth since we'll only ever hear Routh's version of it, and much of that will be of dubious veracity.
Also, Kyle is the guy that accused Jesse Ventura of saying that something like he was glad that Navy Seals got killed in Iraq. This was something that Ventura was suing Kyle for, because he vehemently denies it ever took place. This whole thing is extremely fishy.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking this may be a case of Routh flipping. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.
