GWB, and the Milquetoast Republican Party, is on the verge of doing something right and making the tax cuts permanent. Let’s hope that they can muster the will power required to pass this piddling break in the oppression that is the American Tax Code.
Like any issue remotely resembling something on the conservative agenda, its going to be a close call on getting real tax relief passed. Apparently when the Republicans control the House of Representatives, the Senate and the Presidency, they still might not have the cajones required to enact meaningful tax reform.
I wish them good luck.
I also wish they’d quite doing things half-way and cut the size of government spending. Does anyone really believe that we can’t go back to the same real dollar spending levels of 1996? I’m not asking for 1956 levels here, just go back to what those wasteful Democrats were spending under
Instead of being tax and spend liberals, Republicans are being tax cut and spend and spend and spend pseudo-socialists. Meaningful economic growth will only happen when we let Americans keep their hard earned cash, and cut back on the wasteful wealth distribution machine that is the Federal Budget.
