I always wondered why the Aussie’s call chicks “shelias”. Silly me, they’re not talking about girls. It’s all about the sheep. The Aussie accent makes it hard to understand, what their really saying: “sheep yeah!” sounds a lot like “Sheila” to American ears. It's the accent.
Being gay doesn’t automatically make you White Trash. There are lots of gays that aren’t white. Hernando the hair dresser, gay but definitely not white. I hate to come off as racist but I really do believe that to be White Trash you gotta be white first. I don’t know, call me old fashioned, some things are better off the traditional way. Look at China, in a few years their going to be 90% gay 'cause they killed off most all the girls, defiantly a sub-human act but again, not white.
Most gay guys aren’t really trashy either. Anyone that remembers not to wear white gym socks with dark dress slacks and wingtips don’t have a good chance at making it as white trash.
What makes these mates from Adelaide white trash isn’t being gay, it’s walking down the street buck naked except for engineer boots and a Crocodile Dundee hat.
