We have a trip planned for Sat June 10.
We’re going to make a run on the upper Arkansas. This is a fantastic section of river and at current water levels it is sure to be a blast. Like last year we’re planning a feast for afterwards. We are going to try to get enough people for a group discount, if not the trip should be in the $109 range for a full day including wet suits. We will work out accommodations for Friday and Saturday night as we know more.
We are planning for another memorable Saturday night feast at Château WaterBoy. Aperitifs will be served before dinner with a sampling of various libations. The main course last year was grilled rib eye. Maybe this year WaterGirl will turn the kitchen over to me and I’ll get creative. Perhaps a prime rib of beef, twice baked potatoes, sautéed shrooms and some surf to go with the turf. I have a pinot in mind to accompany dinner. After dinner Res’s Great Northern will be served!
Here’s how to get in on the food, fun and whitewater: send either me or WaterBoy an email, the link to mine is on the right of the page. Say your coming. For those in the front-range area we’ll work out transportation; for those of you flying in we can arrange, on a limited basis, pick up from DIA on Friday.
P.S. This is not the paddle or die trip on thru Gore Cannon, we’re waiting for water levels to drop down below 1500 cfs before we run that, likely we’ll be going on that trip in July or August.
