All in the Family featured the curmudgeonly Archie Bunker. Archie was television’s most famous grouch, blunt, blustering, straightforward and untouched by the PC crowd. He was the archetype of the conservative male. Michael desprately tried to reeducate him, but he persisted in his breviloquence.

Looking back at the last 40 years, we realize: ARCHIE WAS RIGHT!

Fun In Rapid City

Hockey, college kids, beer, what could possibly go wrong?  I can see why this might upset some people:
Rapid City Rush officials are apologizing to ticket holders for Friday night’s intermission entertainment after two college students competing in the “College Olympics” vomited on the ice in front of the crowd after chugging beers during a relay game.

It's winter, it's South Dakota and hunting season is over.  What else are the kids going to do?  Thanks to a nice run of warm weather, the ice is just now think enough to fish. It could have turned out worse.

  1. Considering this indecent involved students from my alma mater, it could have been much, much worse.

  3. Hmmm. "indecent". Fruedian slip.

Had the snowman "indecent" happened in Rapid, I could believe it. 7 males on campus for every female does some pretty vicious things to a man.

  4. We have a co-ed at work who goes to BHSU and sometimes works for us on weekends. She can't find a guy on that campus. Of course she isn't half as good looking as she thinks she is and she swaps of and on guys she shacks up with.

Not surprised. I'm sure it was majority female when I went to Tech back in the 90's. Many of the Miners had girlfriends from BH.

I'll bet it is even more female heavy now. Any guy that goes there would be swimming in it. Hard to compete.

We had the exact opposite. The chicks were even more inflated, both bodily and their ego's. You had to find a woman off campus.

  6. The two schools aren't that far apart. I wonder why some hasn't figgured that out and improved the social situation for both.

  7. We weren't exactly welcome at Black Hill's parties. The guys were a little pissed that we were poaching their women. We left one party where things got hostile. Funny, they wanted to start things with my friends, who were little guys, but nobody looked cross eyed at me. Probably my best chance to have gotten in a fight.

I was always told the partying sucked at Black Hills, and that our parties were better. Who knows, now.

Back in my beta college daze, I chased a girl from BH for a little bit. Looking back, she was ugly, and a Femtard. And fairly typical.

They were our rivals and it wasn't glasnost.

We always told ourselves that when we graduated and got the big bucks the women would come. I lucked out and got a hottie but not the money.

"I lucked out and got a hottie but not the money."

That's OK. At the time the only reason you wanted the money was for the girls.
