All in the Family featured the curmudgeonly Archie Bunker. Archie was television’s most famous grouch, blunt, blustering, straightforward and untouched by the PC crowd. He was the archetype of the conservative male. Michael desprately tried to reeducate him, but he persisted in his breviloquence.

Looking back at the last 40 years, we realize: ARCHIE WAS RIGHT!

Up Date

Today is March 22, 2014.  Yesterday was the first "official" day of spring.  Today I have to shovel snow.

When I was a kid I loved snow.  I still think snow can be fun, sledding, snowmobiling, snow ball fights all sound good to me.  Shoveling, not so much.

That was a nasty little storm that passed through. Quick it was, but left some very icy roads behind. There was a pickup towing a horse trailer with 3 horses aboard that tipped over Saturday night and blocked 2 of the 3 lanes of I-25 going through the downtown area. The horses were all OK, and only one of the passengers in the truck went to the hospital with minor injuries.

Just a reminder to all of us that in the Rockies, Spring doesn't mean the winter storms are over, and we should still drive cautiously when they hit.

Heck June 1st doesn't mean the snow is done. I just don't want to shovel anymore

Given the amount of snow you usually receive over the course of a year, I'm surprised you don't have a snowblower.

It was a necessity in Northern Michigan. I would have thought the same about Wyoming.
