It's comming!

More than 20 years of wanting. 5 years of researching. 3 years of saving. Ordered 12/2007. If it gets here by Friday it will be 11 months over due.

I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas.

New Products

Last year I had the opportunity to shoot one of these. It is a fun little gun and I can tell you from shooting it, that yes you can hit a target 100 yards away with no problem. You can even ring a steel gong at 500 yards with it, if you try. The 500 yard target would be much easier to hit if they had better optics than plain open sights.

FA has some other new products in the pipe line and I've been able to shoot a couple of those as well. This last fall I was given access to a standard 454 Casull to assist with a long rang shooting and hunting project. Basically it was a gun writers evaluation gun that they send out from time to time. Unfortunately I didn't manage to kill a deer with it so there was no forth coming article or pictures.

I am aware of a totally new gun that they have in development. I shot it last spring. It is designed as a long range hunting rig. I'm going to see if they will loan me one to compete with this spring. If they do, I'll post pictures.

Blizzard of '09

Its done snowing, for the moment anyway. I don't think anyone really knows how much snow fell. The winds have been blowing 20 to 50 mph for the last 24 hrs, so its hard to tell how much fell since its drifted up. We have 4 ft and better drifts all around the yard. The weather reminds me of what snow storms were like when I was a kid. The main difference is I sound a lot like my dad did, complaining of the need to shovel.
