All in the Family featured the curmudgeonly Archie Bunker. Archie was television’s most famous grouch, blunt, blustering, straightforward and untouched by the PC crowd. He was the archetype of the conservative male. Michael desprately tried to reeducate him, but he persisted in his breviloquence.

Looking back at the last 40 years, we realize: ARCHIE WAS RIGHT!

Makes Sense

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) - North Korea vowed Tuesday to cancel the 1953 cease-fire that ended the Korean War, citing a U.S.-led push for punishing U.N. sanctions over its recent nuclear test and ongoing U.S.-South Korean joint military drills.

Ron Paul was right.  The USA has no business being the worlds police man.  I'm no fan of North Korea.  BUT if I was running that country and another country had kept a standing army on my boarder for over 60 years AND was unwilling to officially end the war and withdraw the troops, I'd be pissed too.

Consider some facts:

The TV show MASH, about the Korean war, lasted longer than the Korean War, yet we still maintain a fighting force near the DMZ.

Everyone who fought for the US in Korea is retired/dead.

The Communists who we were fighting no longer exist, even Communist China is our friend now.

Communists now control the US Senate, House of Representatives, Presidency and the Supreme court.

South Korea's economy is more than able to handle its own national defense.

We have no national interest in being in Korea.

We don't have the resources to fight all the nations that we are at war with now, and a "hot" war in Korea.  I'm sure they know this too, which is why they are talking up doing something about it now.

It's time to bring our boys home, from their grandfathers war.  Let the Koreans take care of Korea.
