All in the Family featured the curmudgeonly Archie Bunker. Archie was television’s most famous grouch, blunt, blustering, straightforward and untouched by the PC crowd. He was the archetype of the conservative male. Michael desprately tried to reeducate him, but he persisted in his breviloquence.

Looking back at the last 40 years, we realize: ARCHIE WAS RIGHT!

Not really, but some math was used at some point.

Which state has the worst drivers?

To be fair, Montana and North Dakota have a lot of folks form Texas and Louisiana working in the oil field and it probably is part of the problem.

It's funny...but I have noticed that whichever state I am in at any given moment always seems to have the worst drivers.

That is just based on opinions not on any useful measure of bad driving.

I would say that the degree of bad drivers in a population are directly correlated to the percentage of old people and immigrants.

    Maybe its not them :-)

Where I lived in WY is regarded as one of the worse towns for drivers. Our problem here is we have such a mix of people with different driving habits that they don't all belong on the same road together.

Ummm....yeah...it was intentional. That was the premise for the joke. It could be taken two different ways, and the joke lies in the second meaning. Hence, the explanatory quote.

I suppose I should throw in a *bah-dum tish* at the end of my jokes....;)
