All in the Family featured the curmudgeonly Archie Bunker. Archie was television’s most famous grouch, blunt, blustering, straightforward and untouched by the PC crowd. He was the archetype of the conservative male. Michael desprately tried to reeducate him, but he persisted in his breviloquence.

Looking back at the last 40 years, we realize: ARCHIE WAS RIGHT!

BJW--HOW HIGH CAN YOU GO?

A kangaroo kept getting out of his enclosure at the zoo.

Knowing that he could hop pretty high, the zoo officials put up a ten-foot fence. However, the next morning the kangaroo was out again, just roaming around the zoo.

The zoo officials raised the height of the fence to twenty feet. Again, however, the next morning the kangaroo was again roaming around the zoo.

This kept on, night after night, until the fence was sixty feet high.
Finally, the camel in the next enclosure asked the kangaroo, "How high do you think they'll go?"

The kangaroo replied, "Probably a hundred feet, unless somebody starts locking the gate at night!!"

The ingenuity of some animals never fails to amaze me. Like my daughter's cat and the honey badger. There is a documentary on the honey badger on Netflix streaming right now that is, for me anyway, riveting. Watching that critter work out how to solve a problem is just fascinating to watch. Like a train or multi vehicle pileup.
Lesson to learn? Never disrespect a critter that can literally castrate you.

    Funny one!

Octopi are also good at figuring out how to escape, among other things.

Either last year or the year before, somebody posted a video of an octopus squeezing itself through such a bitty little hole that I was convinced that fella was going to get stuck.
